Day 5: Churchill Falls to Happy Valley

11/30/2014

We returned from Esker last night, and had a wildely entertaining meal with "Lord Lance". There's a noticable hitch in his walking gait, but alas, we'll let him tell his story. He bought himself a few days by lending his shower to a few homeless SMIBs, so we'll cut him some slack. And if it doesn't come out in due time...well, you know....

"Lord Lance" had a new respect for "team turtle". For him, getting in somewhat of a pickle has made him realize that while team turtle started as a snappy little moniker, it's really about comaderie and having an extra hand in those tight spots.

Anyhow, it about 2650KMs from between Churchill and Happy Valley. Atleast 92KMs is paved. The other 168KMs is very fast hard pack. So today, not much to report than lots of photos from the bike.

For "Lord Lance", this sign brings trepidation:

For team turtle, this signs brings saddness:

One big happy SMIB family..
