Day 6: Goose Bay to Cartwright

11/30/2014

Comments

Today was high speed, and only passing a dozen cars on the 250+ mile trek. The team of 4 diverted with Lance going South to catch the ferry on Friday, with Blaster, OMG_WTF and Dorito catching the ride to Cartwright.

A nice day and uneventful, probably because Lord lance still has his NASCAR mechanic and Dorito is working as lead costume artist.

These purple flowers are the only non-green foliage we've found so far:

Someone in the Labrador Dept of Transportation must have been having a little funny joke, as this is named the "coastal route"...it runs smack in the middle of Labrador

The above funny guy must have had a cousin working here: Regional Sapling Nursery. Perhaps they haven't seen all the trees we've been looking at for days?

Lots of long expanses

When is it a river, brook or stream?

Lance has some thoughts on his journey..

Last photo before some SMIBs go North and One goes South:

Off to Cartwright:

And then the day's journey ends. Since the road opened in 2010, I suspect traffic is down. Down to only one restaurant, and petrol is $1.99/liter.
